hi
I have less than 24 hours until I have to take that long drive out to Cyberjaya and live on campus in LUCT. Thrill #1 = I will be away from home. [does a little jig]
Back to school. Wonder what that will be like.

So, here's a few shots from where I've been missing.

I just returned from Johor to attend my grandauntie's funeral.

wish I had a better shot to share.

close to midnight; dad calls and tells me to get ready, we're leaving for Johor. 2 hours and a police pull-over later, we arrived. I still don't know who's funeral I'm attending. Nobody has said a word to each other throughout the whole ride.
Everyone was a little more chatty in the morning. We went over to arwah nenek's house and there she was... I couldn't cry. Not till I got back in KL. Took me a while.
She won't be there this Raya Aidilfitri when I come by to drink her yummy tea and nap in her living room. I'll miss her.

NOW.
I'm god-knows-how-high above the ground, in a plane, lavatory line building up beside me, a few of the passengers are peering out the exit door mini-window, and I'm ONLINE!!

1337 much?
[does little victory jig]
In-flight movies, eat your heart out.

To everyone back home:
tunggu yer?? I'll be home soon! Yes, I gave up trying to surprize people with "Guess who's back?" games. They're no fun when people expect it of me. I'll just come hom eand see who welcomes me with love&open arms.

Christmas sakan...?

Slept over at Syarina's house last night.
She fed us RICE! Nasi Tomato to be exact. AND ayam masak merah. AND oversized samosa. The choccie cake was good too. Chocolate is ALWAYS good.

I don't know if it's the jiwang-ing to Anuar Zain - Perpisahan, the odd mood swings, or the bitter cold... but I cried yesterday. sampai lebam.
And I think I'm gonna break down and cry now too.

"rindu".
now there's a familiar word.

I'm feeling slightly better now. Less feverish, more home-sick. Even the infamous Panadol Acti-Fast can't cure me this time. I know I'm supposed to be enjoying myself out here, but really it just feels emptier every day. Everyone has been going on about how great a city London is, and it's couples galore getting "warm" in the streets. Walking around and seeing such beautiful and romantic sights really doesn't work for me. I just can't get homosexual with the girls I'm around.
(No offense Hani. I love you to bits, but it isn't all warm&fuzzy lovey-mushy-dovey)

Oh well,
from little ol' Chelmsford:
Merry Christmas, everyone!

*Note the increased used of Bahasa Malaysia in my entries. I'm just making sure I don't come home like "Encik 3-Harry tinggal di London" from the Raya Petronas ads.

I think I remembered that from Prozac Nation.

The cold has caused Hani & me to loose our voices so we're slightly ill now. A memory to keep of our stay here is popping pills before bedtime. We look like druggies from being ill so it's quite the kelakar. Speaking Malay here is actually more fun because nobody understands you. We had a good laugh out of Paul (our Mat Salleh local Malaysian) speaking Malay to the waiter at Pizza Hut. Guess he's too used to saying "Habis" after his meals. Silly Orang Putih.

The temperature here has apparantly dropped quite drastically and it hasn't been this cold before we arrived. You'd think the weather was messing with us.
Bad weather.
Bad. Bad. Bad.

Entries are a little short. I'm mostly updating when I wake up in the morning.
Extra added info : Over the past 2 days, I've been waking up around 4am due to jetlag. But it's 8am now, so I think I've made progress.

*Note to self : Add photos later.

Waking up waiting for a sunrise.

hi
Unnamed narrow-minded-bitch lady: How can you possibly have read that? It's an Oxford English reading module. You couldn't have studied that in Malaysia. [dirty look]
Moi : I read those books in primary school. Malaysia isn't all that uncivilized.
BURY PEOPLE LIKE THAT!

I miss McD beef&egg burger.
and Ramlee Burger.
and roti jala.
and pisang goreng.
and roti kosong (bagi garing ah...) + kari kambing

Things are looking up for me here. I've bought myself a warmer winter jacket so I don't feel like a popsicle stick anymore. Spending time with Hani makes everything so much fun too. I never noticed just how much her&I think so alike. Even Paul is scared of us.
